WE TOOK A NUCLEAR WEAPON TO A PUBLIC EVENT… 🚨💥

That’s right — me and Holly took ‘The Girl’ from Proximan #1 to Thoughtbubble this past weekend. KA-BOOM!

We traumatised many nerds (at least until the vape broke on Sunday morning), read and bought a ton of brilliant comics, ate a Spoons breakfast, and saw an amazing toilet.
(If you’ve been to Thoughtbubble, you’ll understand.)

‘The Girl’ — the neuro-biological nuclear teenager we brought with us — was made by our absurdly talented friend Naoko Tagai (https://www.naokotagai.com/).
She’s a silicone cast with an internal vapour tube that lets us blast smoke through her skull to simulate an impending nuclear blast… and yes, we fully intend to bring this nightmare fuel to many more events in the future.

THANK YOU, ARKOHOLICS ❤️

Whether you’ve backed us for the first time or returned for another instalment of bio-punk, science-faction madness — thank you.

Because of you, Arks Helices #1 funded in 22.9 hours, faster than we ever imagined, and you’ve given us the opportunity to start planning Helices #2.
But before we get ahead of ourselves, here’s what else we have in store — including stretch goals:

THE POLYPTYCH RETURNS:  PANEL 9 — 'LILITH AND THE CHIPPER'

Today we want to spotlight something very special: Polyptych Panel 9, featuring Lilith and the Chipper.

Arks Polyptych Panel 9 - Lilith and the Chipper

If you’re new to Arks:
The Polyptych is our ongoing series of A5 art prints that — when assembled — form a massive A0 mural foreshadowing major events across the entire Arks universe.

Panel 9 depicts a scene from Arks Trypto, which will be Volume Three in The War of Light — our planned 55-book pantheon.
In this panel, Lilith (from Volume One and Arks Issues 4 & 5) fights off an unseen assailant with the Chipper — a land-shaping device Arks use to cut down trees and obstacles which, in a pinch, doubles as an absurdly dangerous weapon.

It’s basically the most evil sandblaster you’ve ever come across.

The scene this panel depicts is a pivotal moment in Trypto and sets in motion the horrors that unfold 24,000 years later in Helices.

If you haven’t picked up the Polyptych panel 3,9 and 13 in this campaign yet, this is the perfect time to start — each one is both a collectible and a puzzle-piece in our enormous nested storyline.

NEXT UPDATE: PANEL 3 — “OPEN YOUR MOUTH”

In our next update, we’ll be unveiling Polyptych Panel 3, titled Open Your Mouth, from Arks Proximan #1, along with the story and secrets hidden behind it.

Until then, stay tuned — we’re just getting started.
